A very successful 22/23 series was concluded on Monday night. Despite a number of weather-cancelled evenings, the numbers stayed consistently good and a great vibe continued throughout the summer.

GBC is very grateful to David Nightingale-Bayleys Real Estate for their generous inaugural sponsorship of this long-standing event. We are delighted to hear that David and team will be back in 23/24!

A huge thanks too to all of the volunteers across the board who at different times (or at all times!) have contributed in various ways to the success of these evenings.

Though obvious, it is important to say that Neighbourhood Bowls, which is a key program at the club, couldn’t exist without the hard work of dedicated GBC volunteers.

And a special thank you to Murray Grigor for his considerable efforts this season without Bill McDermott, his usual partner in crime. Murray’s ability in putting things together was clearly evident from start to finish. Bill and Murray rightly deserve recognition for the years of time and energy they have collectively put into the making Social Bowls – now Neighbourhood Bowls – a very popular pillar of the club.
