LOOK OUTSIDE!

Well, it’s just about done for our Winter Open Triples Season with just two more to go, 15 and 29 August. So far we have had a pretty good season. We had to abort one day back last month but have had a full green for the last two events. So that’s a pretty good reason to get your name in for the next two. Please note that the tournament listed in the yellow Handbook for 12 September will not be held as it clashes with
the first Summer Triples at Remuera.

The Winter Interclub was held last month and Glendowie, with just one
team in this year performed well without making the finals.
Saturday 2-4-2 Pairs, Tuesday Aggregates and the Thursday 2-game
Competition (on days when there are no Open Triples at Glendowie) will
continue up to Opening Day, 14 September. Call Jean (521 8452) if you
want to play on Saturdays and call in on the morning for Tuesday
and Thursday events by 9.30.

Invoices and Handbooks. You all should have received invoices for your subscriptions by now. Please contact Murray (585 1992) if you have not got yours. The new Handbook and membership cards will be mailed out at the end of this week. Please note that your cards are not valid until full payment has been received. Similarly, you are not entitled to
play in open or club tournaments until your sub has been paid.

Social Bowlers are most welcome to join in on the weekend 2-4-2 events up till opening day. Thereafter there will be an opportunity for Social
Bowlers to play on Sundays through November. The Monday Social
Bowls begin again in November.

Glendowiebowls
